Sister taxa: Cedaromys bestia, Cedaromys parvus
Type specimen: UMNH VP 12836, a tooth (LM1). Its type locality is Cedar Canyon roadcut (UMNH VP Loc. 162), which is in a Cenomanian/Cenomanian floodplain mudstone/sandstone in the Naturita Formation of Utah.
Ecology: arboreal herbivore
Distribution: found only at Cedar Canyon roadcut (UMNH VP Loc. 162)
