Sister taxon: Plesiolacerta lydekkeri
Type specimen: SMNS 58203.1, a partial skull (Incomplete parietal lacking the anterior portion). Its type locality is Herrlingen 8, which is in a MP 28 fissure fill limestone in Germany.
Ecology: ground dwelling insectivore-carnivore
Distribution: found only at Herrlingen 8
