Type specimen: Pz. UERJ 110, a partial skeleton (incomplete fish lacking most of the skull). Its type locality is Rosario do Catete, which is in an Albian marine shale in the Riachuelo Formation of Brazil.
Ecology: nektonic carnivore
Distribution: found only at Rosario do Catete
