Sister taxa: Pappictidops obtusus, Pappictidops orientalis

Type specimen: IVPP V5232, a partial skull (Upper and lower jaws). Its type locality is Jintang Village, which is in a Paleocene terrestrial horizon in the Shanghu Formation of China.

Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore

Distribution:

• Paleocene of China (2 collections)

Total: 2 collections each including a single occurrence
