Type specimen: NMNH-P 668/1, a partial skeleton. Its type locality is Nikolaev, which is in a Tortonian shallow subtidal horizon in the Chersonian Formation of Ukraine.
Ecology: aquatic carnivore-suspension feeder
Distribution: found only at Nikolaev
