Type specimen: MNHNL BU159, a partial skeleton. Its type locality is Montois-la-Montagne, which is in a Bajocian marine marl in the Marnes de Gravelotte (=La Gravclotte Marls) Formation of France.
Ecology: nektonic carnivore
Distribution: found only at Montois-la-Montagne
