Sister taxa: Carinodens belgicus, Carinodens fraasi
Type specimen: OCP DEK/GE 453, a mandible (near-complete left and right dentary of the same individual, with two teeth preserved in left dentary). Its type locality is Level 3, Benguérir, which is in a Maastrichtian marine phosphorite in Morocco.
Ecology: aquatic carnivore

• Cretaceous of Denmark (1 collection), Morocco (1)
