Type specimens:
- Calliconites nevadensis: Its type locality is Cottonwood Canon, West Humboldt Range, which is in an Illyrian/Fassanian carbonate limestone in Nevada
- Atractites burckhardti: Its type locality is Divide between Troy Canyon and South Fork of American Canyon, which is in an Illyrian marine limestone in Nevada.
Ecology: fast-moving nektonic carnivore
Distribution:
• Triassic of United States (10: Nevada collections)
Total: 10 collections each including a single occurrence
