Sister taxa: Palaeophonus caledonicus, Palaeophonus osborni

Type specimen: SRM Ar.32235, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is Vattenfallet section, Visby, top of Högklintslager beds, which is in a Sheinwoodian carbonate limestone in the Högklint Formation of Sweden.

Ecology:

Distribution: found only at Vattenfallet section, Visby, top of Högklintslager beds
