Sister taxa: Thylamys colombianus, Thylamys macrurus, Thylamys minutus, Thylamys pallidior, Thylamys pusillus, Thylamys venustus

Type specimen: GHUNLP:un 2404, a mandible (right mandible fragment). Its type locality is Bajo Giuliani, which is in a Huayquerian terrestrial horizon in the Cerro Azul Formation of Argentina.

Ecology: scansorial omnivore-carnivore

Distribution:

• Miocene of Argentina (4 collections)

Total: 4 collections each including a single occurrence
