Type specimen: AMNH 24521, a dermal scale. Its type locality is Ranges east of Sierra Santa Barbara, which is in a Paleocene lacustrine - small mudstone in the MaĆ­z Gordo Formation of Argentina.

Ecology: nektonic omnivore

Distribution: found only at Ranges east of Sierra Santa Barbara
