Sister taxa: Lithocoryne coloradensis, Lithocoryne gravis
Type specimen: USNM 59639, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is Florissant (USNM Collection), which is in a Chadronian lacustrine - large shale in the Florissant Formation of Colorado.
Ecology:
Distribution: found only at Florissant (USNM Collection)
