Belongs to Neophrontops according to A. Feduccia 1974
Sister taxa: Neophrontops americanus, Neophrontops dakotensis, Neophrontops vallecitoensis, Neophrontops vetustus
Type specimen: UMMP V52265, a limb element (distal end of left tibiotarsus). Its type locality is Hagerman (USGS 20765), which is in a Blancan terrestrial horizon in Idaho.
Ecology: volant carnivore
Distribution:
• Quaternary of United States (1: Florida collection)
• Blancan of United States (1: Idaho)
Total: 2 collections each including a single occurrence
