Sister taxon: Bishanopliosaurus youngi

Type specimen: ZDM 0185, a set of postcrania. Its type locality is Zigong, villager Wang Xinmin's garden, which is in a Bajocian lacustrine - large mudstone in the Shaximiao Formation of China.

Ecology: aquatic carnivore

Distribution: found only at Zigong, villager Wang Xinmin's garden
