Type specimen: NWMNH 25033, a shell. Its type locality is First Canyon, Shoshone Mountains (M. trigonatum assemblage), which is in a Bucklandi marine limestone in the Sunrise Formation of Nevada.

Ecology: fast-moving nektonic carnivore

Average measurements (in mm): shell diameter 60.2

Distribution: found only at First Canyon, Shoshone Mountains (M. trigonatum assemblage)
