Sister taxa: Paracaloceras coregonense, Paracaloceras haueri, Paracaloceras multicostatum, Paracaloceras rursicostatum, Paracaloceras varaense, Alpinoceras perspiratum

Type specimen: NWMNH 25031, a shell. Its type locality is First Canyon, Shoshone Mountains (Canadensis zone), which is in an Angulata marine limestone in the Sunrise Formation of Nevada.

Ecology: fast-moving nektonic carnivore

Average measurements (in mm): shell diameter 116.6

Distribution: found only at First Canyon, Shoshone Mountains (Canadensis zone)
