Sister taxa: Pseudaetomoceras castagnolai, Pseudaetomoceras doetzkirchneri, Pseudaetomoceras victoriense

Type specimen: NWMNH 25039, a shell. Its type locality is First Canyon, Shoshone Mountains (Canadensis zone), which is in an Angulata marine limestone in the Sunrise Formation of Nevada.

Ecology: fast-moving nektonic carnivore

Distribution:

• Jurassic of United States (2: Nevada collections)
