Type specimen: Shenyang Institute of Geology and Mineral Resources SG150054, a tegmen. Its type locality is Mayingzi, Chaoyang County (Shenyang collection), which is in a Pliensbachian/Toarcian terrestrial mudstone in the Beipiao Formation of China.
