Sister taxon: Neuquenitrigonia huenickeni
Type specimen: SNGM 477, a valve (right valve). Its type locality is Quebrada Plaza, Atacama, which is in a Variabilis open shallow subtidal horizon in Chile.
Ecology: facultatively mobile infaunal suspension feeder
Distribution: found only at Quebrada Plaza, Atacama
