Type specimen: CGM 42199, a mandible (right dentary with p3-m3 plus anterior alveoli). Its type locality is Quarry V (Jebel Qatrani Formation), which is in a Rupelian fluvial sandstone/mudstone in the Jebel Qatrani Formation of Egypt.

Ecology: arboreal omnivore

Distribution: found only at Quarry V (Jebel Qatrani Formation)
