Type specimen: AMNH 5143, a mandible (Right and left rami of the mandible with the canine, P3, and the last two molars represented). Its type locality is Washakie B (Lower), which is in an Uintan terrestrial horizon in the Washakie Formation of Wyoming.

Ecology: ground dwelling grazer-browser
