Sister taxon: Celonophamia taimyria

Type specimen: CNCI-CAS 885, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is Grassy Lake, Medicine Hat (CNC May 1973 collection), which is in a Campanian terrestrial amber in the Foremost Formation of Canada.
