Type specimen: USNM 116508. Its type locality is Loc. 2. edge of quarry, just north of RR tracks ΒΌ mile west of Strasburg Junction, which is in an Ashbyan carbonate limestone in the Edinburg Formation of Virginia.
Ecology: fast-moving low-level epifaunal carnivore
