Sister taxa: Tersus crassicornis, Tersus crowsoni, Tersus karatavicus, Tersus kobdoensis, Tersus leptocerus
Type specimen: PIN 2470/899, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is Shar-Teg, outcrop 443/1 (PIN collection 4270), which is in a Tithonian lacustrine - large mudstone in the Sharteg Formation of Mongolia.
Ecology:
Distribution: found only at Shar-Teg, outcrop 443/1 (PIN collection 4270)
