Type specimen: USNM 484942, a shell (conjoined valves). Its type locality is Locality 121. Eastern side of the Kopalysai valley, southern Chu-Ili Range, which is in an Abereiddian foreshore sandstone in the Uzunbulak Formation of Kazakhstan.
