Sister taxon: Pachygenys thlastesa
Type specimen: MNHAH D1-032063, a mandible (an incomplete right mandible with nine tooth positions, including five complete and four incomplete teeth). Its type locality is Miyada microvertebrate site (Sasayama), which is in an Albian terrestrial siltstone in the Ohyamashimo Formation of Japan.

Distribution: found only at Miyada microvertebrate site (Sasayama)
