Type specimen: NU-B 1827, a valve (ventral valve). Its type locality is NS1, Imahorazawa, Sakarigawa River, which is in a Sakmarian marine sandstone in the Sakamotozawa Formation of Japan.

Ecology: stationary epifaunal suspension feeder

Distribution: found only at NS1, Imahorazawa, Sakarigawa River
