Sister taxa: Paracymatoceras asper, Paracymatoceras milleri, Paracymatoceras rota, Paracymatoceras rufum

Type specimen: GK.H6401, a partial shell. Its type locality is Hirokino-tani, Kashiwaguri, Shishi-jima, which is in a Cenomanian marine sandstone in the Goshonoura Formation of Japan.
