Type specimen: Holotype: NC 1017, housed in the Palaeobotany Collection, Botany Department, Adelaide University., a leaf (Cuticle). Its type locality is Nelly Creek, which is in an Eocene floodplain sandstone/claystone in the Eyre Formation of Australia.

Ecology: "photoautotroph"

Distribution: found only at Nelly Creek
