Type specimen: Holotype: S-283, housed in the Department of Plant Science, University of Tasmania., a cuticle. Its type locality is Regatta Point - Cool Store mud, which is in an Eocene fluvial-deltaic mudstone in Australia.

Ecology: "photoautotroph"
