Type specimen: IGM-PB 1079, a leaf. Its type locality is IGM-2573, Los Ahuehuetes locality, which is in an Oligocene lacustrine shale/sandstone in the Coatzingo Formation of Mexico.

Distribution: found only at IGM-2573, Los Ahuehuetes locality
