Belongs to Oudenodon according to J. M. Mazin and G. M. King 1991
Sister taxa: Oudenodon bainii, Oudenodon grandis
Type specimen: PVHR 288, a skull. Its type locality is Between Ranohira and Benenitra, which is in a Lopingian marine sandstone in the Lower Sakamena Formation of Madagascar.
Ecology: herbivore
Distribution: found only at Between Ranohira and Benenitra
