Sister taxon: Camuropiscis concinnus

Type specimen: WAM 91.2.1, a skeleton (An almost complete uncrushed head and trunk shield, anterior and posterior superognathals, left inferognathal, sub-median-dorsal plate and a few vertebrae.). Its type locality is Locality No. 20, Stromatoporoid Camp Area, which is in a Frasnian marine horizon in the Gogo Formation of Australia.

Ecology: nektonic carnivore

Distribution: found only at Locality No. 20, Stromatoporoid Camp Area
