Type specimen: SBEI 1566, a partial skeleton (An association of skull, jaws and postcranial bones of a small lizard with facetted tricuspid teeth). Its type locality is Kaseki-kabe (facies III), Shiramine, which is in a Barremian mire/swamp mudstone/sandstone in the Kuwajima Formation of Japan.

Distribution: found only at Kaseki-kabe (facies III), Shiramine
