Type specimen: MOTA 2001.009.03, a mandible (nearly complete left dentary with C1, P4 root, M1, and M2). Its type locality is Arriaga Quarry, which is in an Aquitanian marine conglomerate in the Unalaska Formation of Alaska.

Ecology: amphibious herbivore

Distribution: found only at Arriaga Quarry
