Sister taxa: Chaenomya guizhouensis, Chaenomya leavenworthensis, Chaenomya nuraensis

Type specimen: GP/1T 2019, a shell (conjoined valves). Its type locality is Mucambo Farmstead, Near the José de Freitas village, which is in a Morrowan/Desmoinesian carbonate dolomite in the Piauí Formation of Brazil.

Ecology: facultatively mobile infaunal suspension feeder

Distribution: found only at Mucambo Farmstead, Near the José de Freitas village
