Type specimen: NMNZ S.50003, a limb element (Distal end, shaft and lateral proximal edge of left tarsometatarsus). Its type locality is Site HH4, Home Hills Station (H41/f95), which is in an Altonian lacustrine - large claystone in the Bannockburn Formation of New Zealand.

Ecology: volant piscivore
