Type specimen: DGM 810-M, a mandible (partial right dentary with complete m2-4). Its type locality is São José de Itaborai, which is in an Eocene fissure fill marl in the Itaboraí Formation of Brazil.
Ecology: scansorial omnivore
Distribution: found only at São José de Itaborai
