Sister taxon: Patagonhippus dukei
Type specimen: MPEF-PV 7087, a maxilla (maxilla fragments with right P2-M3 and left M2-3). Its type locality is La Cantera, which is in a Rupelian terrestrial horizon in the Sarmiento Formation of Argentina.
Ecology: scansorial herbivore
Distribution: found only at La Cantera
