Belongs to Tamquammys according to Q. Li and J. Meng 2015
Sister taxa: Tamquammys dispinorum, Tamquammys fractus, Tamquammys longus, Tamquammys robustus, Tamquammys tantillus
Type specimen: IVPP V5678, a partial skull (Anterior portion of skull). Its type locality is Huheboerhe escarpment (IM-1), which is in an Eocene fluvial sandstone in the Irdin Manha Formation of China.
Ecology: ground dwelling herbivore
Distribution:
• Eocene of China (7 collections)
Total: 7 collections each including a single occurrence
