Sister taxa: Tamquammys dispinorum, Tamquammys longus, Tamquammys robustus, Tamquammys tantillus, Tamquammys wilsoni
Type specimen: IVPP V17798, a maxilla. Its type locality is Huheboerhe escarpment (IM-1), which is in an Eocene fluvial sandstone in the Irdin Manha Formation of China.
Ecology: ground dwelling herbivore
Distribution: found only at Huheboerhe escarpment (IM-1)
