Sister taxon: Dicynodontoides recurvidens
Type specimen: GPIT K 12, a skull. Its type locality is Kingori locality, Ruhuhu Basin, which is in a Wuchiapingian terrestrial horizon in the Usili Formation of Tanzania.

• Permian of Tanzania (2 collections), Zambia (3)
