Sister taxon: Cookeroo bulwidarri

Type specimen: QM F57792, a partial skull (partial adult skull with left and right P3s and M1–4s and broken right M1 and 2). Its type locality is Neville's Garden Site, which is in a Burdigalian terrestrial horizon in Australia.
