Type specimen: RC 21, a skull. Its type locality is Grootdriefontein (Cistecephalus Assemblage Zone), which is in a Wuchiapingian terrestrial horizon in the Teekloof Formation of South Africa.

Ecology: carnivore

Distribution: found only at Grootdriefontein (Cistecephalus Assemblage Zone)
