Type specimen: MMGD-PzP1, a skull (incomplete skull in part and counterpart). Its type locality is Clennen, Saxony, which is in an Autunian terrestrial horizon in the Bortewitz Formation of Germany.

Ecology: amphibious carnivore

Distribution: found only at Clennen, Saxony
