Type specimen: ML (Musee de Lausanne) pl. VIII figs 3-7 in Pictet 1855-57, a partial skull (lower jaw and a portion of cranial base). Its type locality is Mormont Entreroches, which is in a Priabonian terrestrial horizon in Switzerland.

Distribution:
