Belongs to Eomoropus according to M. M. Chow 1962
Sister taxa: Eomoropus amarorum, Eomoropus anarsius, Eomoropus major, Eomoropus meridiorientalis, Eomoropus minimus, Eomoropus pawnyunti, Eomoropus quadridentatus
Type specimen: VM0053, a mandible. Its type locality is Hsiaoshaho, which is in an Eocene terrestrial horizon in the Lumeiyi Formation of China.
Ecology: ground dwelling browser
Distribution: found only at Hsiaoshaho
