Belongs to Lushiamynodon according to Y.-X. Xu 1966
Sister taxa: Sharamynodon kirghisensis, Sharamynodon mongoliensis, Lushiamynodon wuchengensis, Lushiamynodon obesus, Lushiamynodon menchiapuensis
Type specimen: IVPP V2892, a partial skull. Its type locality is Ula Usu well, Shara Murum, which is in an Eocene terrestrial sandstone/claystone in the Shara Murum Formation of China.
