Type specimen: AMNH 5181 (nearly complete frontal). Its type locality is Arroyo Blanco (AMNH Quarry 88), which is in a Wasatchian terrestrial horizon in the San Jose Formation of New Mexico.
Ecology: ground dwelling insectivore-carnivore
Distribution:
• Eocene of United States (5: New Mexico collections)
Total: 5 collections each including a single occurrence
