Type specimen: YPM IP 389335, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is Ranch west of Rio Blanco store, which is in an Uintan lacustrine - large mudstone in the Green River Formation of Colorado.

Distribution: found only at Ranch west of Rio Blanco store
